Perry Eldon Havens

Perry Eldon Havens, 92 of Sanford, passed away Tuesday, April 19th, 2022. He was formerly of Brandon, FL. He is survived by his wife; Mihrican Havens of the home, son; Erol Havens (Roberta) of Sanford, and daughter; Laura Colson of Monroe. Perry served in the army during the Korean war, earning him the Korean Service Medal with Bronze Service Star and the United Nations Service Medal. Perry’s love of airplanes and sport flying began when he was drafted into the Korean War and the Army Air Corps. During his life, he supported the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) as an organization who shared his interest of flying, building, and restoring recreational aircraft. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Perry Havens involvement with EAA can be made out to EAA Aviation Foundation, P. O. Box 3816, Oshkosh, WI 54903.
