Theresa Poellnitz Clark Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Theresa Poellnitz Clark, age 66, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, November 10 at HIghland Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service. Theresa was born and raised in Florence, Alabama. She earned a B.A. from Randolph-Macon Women's College, a Juris Doctorate from UNC-Chapel Hill, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida. She found her professional calling on the faculty of Methodist University's Reeves School of Business where she worked for 24 years. Theresa's motto "my bags are packed" hails to her love of travel. In recent years, she voyaged Russia, Canada, Alaska and Peru. Theresa was an avid reader, enjoyed exercise and gardening, and held membership in many social and charitable organizations. The family is grateful to Linda Anderson, Linda Clark, Liz Latella, Nancy Henry, Cheryl McPhaul, and numerous friends, neighbors and caregivers for the supportive and loving care Theresa received in her final months. Theresa is survived by her children Catherine, Roulhac and husband Greg Johnson, Mary Pride, Franklin, grandchildren James and Sarah Johnson, and beau Don Leslie.
