Shannon Elizabeth Snell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Shannon Elizabeth (Carrothers) Snell, 40, of Fayetteville, NC passed away at the home of her mother and stepfather on Monday, June 27, 2022. Shannon was genuine. A kind and loving person with an infectious smile. She loved deeply and never met a stranger. She never judged and always befriended the underdog. When she loved, she loved with her whole heart. Shannon enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Family time for Shannon was camping and fishing with her boys. When her sons were younger, football and softball games were her Saturday ritual. She would run the fence line in support of them, and in her own fashion, she refereed from the sidelines. A typical “ball mom”. On many occasions, she spent time having family sleepovers, with her boys, her sister Casey, and her nieces and nephews. Funny how it didn’t’ stop there. The sleepovers included the neighbors and her friend’s children as well. With little to no room, she always seemed to make it work, providing a safe haven for all of them to sleep after a full day of playing, having birthday parties, bobbing for apples. Never a dull moment…yet so many beautiful memories made. Her goal was to make it both fun and exciting for all of them. Shannon enjoyed singing karaoke and line dancing. She loved to read, and when she would get in her own little space, she would have a book in one hand and a crochet needle and yarn in the other. She enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb that so many others wish they could have had. Shannon’s sons were the light of her life. She loved them deeply and was so very proud of them and all of their accomplishments. Shannon never missed an opportunity to tell them over and over. Her sons shared their thoughts and desires of what their future plans were and she encouraged them to continue setting goals and to live their best life. Shannon is survived by her 3 sons, Jackson, Carsen, and Jeffery, her father Terry Carrothers (Robert), her mother Marcia Livingston and stepfather Douglas Livingston, her sister Casey Norris, many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins. She will be forever loved and truly missed by her sons, her family and her many friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Cape Fear Crematory, Inc.
