Ilma Nagy Winstead
May 16, 1922 - December 2, 2012
Ilma Nagy Winstead, 90, widow of the late Clarence J. Winstead, peacefully passed at home with her loving son, Andre Clayman, by her side. While previously active in various fields such as USO, Fayetteville Women's Club and Community Concerts, Mrs. Winstead prided herself in teaching piano to many Fayetteville residents. She was also known to WFNC listeners as th "Chicken Lady" for sharing recipes and occasionally political commentary. She certainly earned the name "Super Mom" for her commitment to her husband and children. She is survived by a brother in Budapest, as well as her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Moldova. A private family ceremony will be held at a future date. To honor her, the family requests that you take yourself to Hudson Bay Seafood and enjoy a nice meal. It was her favorite place to eat in Fayetteville and had given her and Mr. Winstead much joy and camaraderie. She will be missed by her family and will be forever in our hearts.
