Daryl Penn Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Daryl Penn, 58, of Fayetteville passed away on February 5, 2021 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. Daryl touched the lives of many people. Family meant everything to him, including his fur babies; he was a loving Husband, Dad, son, brother, uncle and grandfather. Daryl dedicated his life to teaching, guiding his children to achieve their goals. He loved teaching children in the public education system as well as adult education at Fayetteville Technical Community College. He was very involved within his church; holding roles of usher, Sunday School Director and VBS/Children's Church/Sunday School teacher. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and UNC Tarheels and many weekends were spent with family and friends watching games. Daryl never met a stranger, was an honest hard worker, animal lover, always willing to lend a helping hand and always put others first. Daryl will be greatly missed by all but most especially by his family; his wife, Jillian; his children, Alexis, Quincy, Courtney, Sharon, Austin and Devin; his grandchildren, Xandria, Rayne and Amir; his parents, Pop and Mom Penn; his parents in love, Richard and Stephanie Plumley; sisters, Denise Penn and Sandra (David) Woodson; his brothers and sister in love, William Plumley, Danielle and Eslam Abdelkader; along with many nieces and nephews. There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
