Claud David Hogan

June 16, 1944 - May 27, 2021

Claud David Hogan went to be with Jesus on Thursday morning, May 27th. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his spouse, Olga Hogan and his son, Mitchell and wife, Dana. Additionally, he leaves behind his brother, Tommy and wife, Angie Hogan, his sister, Kathy Wilson and sister Carolyn Brown and husband, Wylie Brown. He has sisters-in-law Betty Hogan and Ruth Hogan along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by both his parents, Reece and Polly Hogan. David was pre-deceased by brothers, Harold Hogan, Larry Hogan and Danny Hogan. Additionally, he was pre-deceased by a sister-in-law, Beverly Hogan and a brother-in-law, Jim Wilson. David retired after 34 years as an electronic technician working for civil service at Ft. Bragg, NC. He served 6 years in the National Guard Signal Unit in Albemarle, NC. He had a servant’s heart and a quick wit. He was a skilled woodcrafter and carpenter. David was known by many as “Mr. Fix It” because he would make a way to rebuild or repair almost any item when there did not seem to be a way for it to work. He loved God, his family and his church family and served them well. We know he heard “well done, thy good and faithful servant” when he entered God’s presence. Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 5th at 11:30 AM at New Hope Baptist Church on Rosehill Road, Fayetteville, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cape Fear Valley Hospice, 2301 Robeson Street, Suite 202, Fayetteville, NC 28305 or to New Hope Baptist Church, 3675 Rosehill Road, Fayetteville, NC 28311.
